Adam Klomhaus - Council Vice-President
Adam and his wife Laurie along with their three kids, Zak, Lexi, and Darci joined Rejoice in 2005. They were searching for a new church home and, when they found Rejoice, knew that Rejoice was the place for them. “We found a very welcoming, vibrant, servant-led congregation that just won’t quit”. After taking part in three Men’s CHRP events and leading one, the church leadership asked if Adam would be a part of the council. The tasks of being part of this council have been challenging yet very rewarding especially in learning about how many people are involved in ministries outside the church walls. “Rejoice is that unique church that is hard to define, always evolving, and constantly reaching out to as many people as we possibly can”. Presently Adam serves as the treasurer.
Adam is a remodeling contractor with the never-ending house projects (completed? in his “spare” time!). He enjoys vacationing with his wife and kids as often as possible and enjoys all manner of motorized sports especially SeaDoos and snowmobiling.

She also has a heart for mission, traveling twice with Rejoice teams to Slidell, LA and once to Pine Ridge. She will travel to Honduras this August and make her third trip to Slidell in October.
Until 2 ½ years ago, Cindy owned a kitchen and bath design business, and had a showroom in Oak Brook and Downers Grove for almost 20 years. She is currently employed part time at a Geneva law office and is also involved in Don’s business, Goodrich Sales Inc.
Shelly Erdmann - Council Secretary

Shelly Erdmann moved to Geneva from Wisconsin in 2005 with her husband Gary and children, Quinn and Sydney. Their family has been a member of Rejoice for the last 4 years. Shelly participated in the Honduras mission trip in 2008 and the Biloxi mission trip with Gary in 2009. She presently serves as a mission committee member, a communion server with her daughter Sydney, and a offering counter. "Since the first day I attended Rejoice, it felt like a place I could be "just where I was" in my faith. That openness has allowed me to become close with many members of Rejoice and to grow in my relationship with God."
Shelly's ideal summer activity is spending time at a lake in Wisconsin with her family. She and her family are avid water sports enthusiasts and loves the outdoors. She is never without her camera at her kids sporting events.
Shelly has worked at FIS for 20 years after graduating from Marquette University with a bachelors in Marketing and Management Information Systems. Throughout her career, she worked as a computer programmer, a project manager, and a data warehouse consultant. She built an internet banking consulting team and is presently the product manager for FIS's business intelligence product. Her favorite pastimes include dining out with friends, sunny beach vacations and getting lost in a great book.
During her time at Rejoice she has served as a worship leader, song leader and has played an active role each summer at Vacation Bible School. Laura and her family were drawn to Rejoice for many reasons but she says the “standouts” include: an open and loving congregation, life-changing Sunday messages, amazing youth opportunities and a band that can set any soul on fire for the Lord! Laura says, "I believe that God reveals His purposes so that each of us will do His work. How much better can it get than to be employed by the Good Lord himself? Proverbs 19:21 says, 'Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.'"
