Softball
Our 2008 summer softball season is now underway! Both men and women ages 18+ are welcome to play on the Rejoice team, which competes against other church teams from the Tri-Cities area in a recreational league. Alternate positions are available for those who cannot commit to weekly games, which are played on Sunday afternoons. Links for our 2008 schedule and the church league rules can be found below.

June 22nd game recap:
Another win for Rejoice Team #1! Rejoice #1 got another victory on Sunday June 22 with a 9-6 victory. It was a tough game, but we scored three runs in the top of the 7th inning to seal the win. The win marked another blast from Scott "Kong" Nowling. In the 5th inning with both of our fans chanting "Kong, Kong" he again delivered a two run blast that, according to Park District officials, still has not landed. Many others chipped in with two hits, and we got some great defensive play. Next game for Rejoice #1 is June 29 at 4 PM.
Rejoice #2 unfortunately lost 4-2 to St. Peter's. We played a full seven innings against them this time and played better defense but once again our hitting was not timely. Justin Weigt and Nick Chilzenkowski scored one run each on a triple and home run respectively. Nick anchored the infield at shortstop well and Scott Barrett pitched well. We are looking forward to having a break out game at hitting soon! Our next game is this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. on Field 2. Hope to see you there!
