Summit for High Schoolers
"Gathering and outfitting students to be devoted follwers and servant leaders for Christ"
Are you tired of the same old church routine and want something deeper that really addresses the tough issues that you care about or if you don't have the slightest clue about this whole "Christianity" thing and you just want to see what it's all about? Then join us Sunday evenings as we kick back, have some hot chocolate and talk about things that really matter to you.
Summit is a student ministry of Rejoice Lutheran Church for high school students grades 9-12. The focus of Summit is to seek to understand who God is, what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and what we can do to partner with God in caring for the people He loves. Summit exists to connect high school students to God's story of saving the world through His son Jesus, to help them grow in their personal relationship with God and to live their lives as a follower of Jesus.
The Summit program runs September through May every Sunday evening from 6:30-8:30pm (which totally leaves enough time for homework) and meets in a very laid back living-room style setting. We offer awesome events and retreats such as the WinterXtreme camp. There are also opportunities to serve the community and the world by participating in the annual week-long summer mission trip called ASCENT. Our Summit students often become leaders of the Junior High ministry- Matrix - and fuel the leadership team of that program.
