Retreats/Mission Trips
To supplement our mission, Summit staff lead students on weekend retreats and mission trips, which jumpstart spiritual growth and give students a dynamic, powerful God experience.
Retreats
Sometimes we just need to unplug and refocus. Summit offers that through our weekend retreats. These events give students an opportunity to connect with one another and lead each other in small groups. It is during these retreats that the relationships with one another and with our Savior are refueled and become deeper.
Througout the year, we will offer opportunities for retreats with a mission focus, as well as a fall/winter retreat which will give us the chance to hang out, listen to great speakers and music, games, and to recharge and reconnect.

ASCENT
ASCENT is our annual summer mission project, designed to make an impact on the lives of the needy by spreading compassion and justice where it is needed. ASCENT is for students who want to partner with God in the mission of bringing hope to people who desperately need it. Through the work of Jesus Christ, God has done something incredible in each of us. It is from that saving grace that God’s compassion flows out of us and directly into the lives of the people we serve; from the inside out.
Our student missionaries are trained extensively prior to departure through monthly workshops to begin connecting as a team. There are many opportunities to procure financial aid through the annual Rejoice Revue/Silent Auction, Easter Breakfast Fundraiser, car washes and more. The trip is led by a specially recruited team of adults and select student leaders who plan the logistics of the mission, and disciple students during the experience. ASCENT seeks to provide every participant with exponential progress along their spiritual journey, and to connect them in practical ways to the bigger mission of God which is ministering to the needy, rescuing the hopeless and providing freedom through the sacrifice of Jesus. These trips are life-changing for all who are involved and are among the most important aspects of the student ministry at Rejoice.
Past ASCENT trips have included building homes in Mexico, serving the homeless in Philadelphia, a youth conference in Los Angeles, and rebuilding homes devastated by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. In June of 2012 we will travel to Nashville, TN to serve - click here to learn more!
