2010 Summer Mission Trip

ASCENT 2010

The Love Project:  New Orleans

June 18 - 27, 2010

This summer, high school students from Rejoice will travel to New Orleans, Louisiana. For 7 days, we will be ministering to families in a part of our own country where poverty is at an all-time high.  Joining hundreds of other students from around the country, we will be demolishing condemned houses to make way for new ones to be built in their place, and taking to the streets to spread the love to the people of the Gulf Coast. 

We will be partnering with YWAM, an organization that has been around since 1960 and excels in the area of domestic and global missions. Through YWAM, with stands for Youth With A Mission, we will receive evangelism training, worship with hundreds of other students, meet in small groups, and serve alongside one another. The purpose of this trip is not only to meet the basic physical needs of families in New Orleans, but most importantly, to bring them the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Information for Parents

Our leader's cell phone numbers will be given to you at drop-off and check-in Friday morning. Your student(s) will be allowed to have their personal cell phones, but only during designated "down" time and not during work hours (click here to see the week's schedule).

Please bring your insurance card for us to make a copy of if you haven't given us a copy already. If your student does not have all the medical release forms filled out and turned in, he/she will be UNABLE to go. It is a requirement that we have all the medical release forms properly filled out and signed.  Click here to check if your student has turned in all necessary forms.  Other required forms:
