Summit Programs

SUMMIT Sunday evenings 6:30-8:30pm

SUMMIT is a gathering of high school students who are seeking to have a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christ-follower. Through biblical teaching, group discussions and time spent just hanging out, we will seek to have a deeper understanding of the word of God and talk about real life issues that students really care about and impact their day-to-day lives.

HOUSE GROUPS Last Sunday monthly*

House Groups happen on the last Sunday of each month. They are a place where students meet in smaller groups and engage in conversation about the word of God and what it means for our lives today. Students fuel the conversation in a peer-led bible study that meets in the homes of selected adults from Rejoice. This is a totally relaxed environment where students can authentically and honestly seek to have a better understanding of the bible and press forward on their spiritual journey.

L.I.T. MEETINGS 5:30pm 1st Sunday of the month

It stands for Leaders In Training. Students who are a part of the LIT team are given opportunities to  take ownership of the Youth Ministry programs. Together, they cast a vision for the direction for their youth ministry and help to see that vision realized. It also allows them to show servant leadership on Wednesday nights in leading the Matrix Middle School program either as high school mentors for a Matrix small group,  MSS support staff work, teaching support, or large group event planning. Through their efforts, the Matrix program comes to life. They make an impact on our middle-school students by modeling servant hood and a lifestyle that honors the Lord. This is a vital part of the Summit Strategy, as these leadership opportunities help our students take ownership of their faith in Jesus Christ.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Hanging out together is what makes us a family. So we do it as often as we can in a wide variety of ways. Check the calendar to see what we’re up to this year.

THE EMPTY ROPE

SUMMIT values inviting other students who don’t know Christ to join us in the journey. That’s what the empty rope stands for: the invitation to seek. We don’t have everything figured out, but we are in pursuit of knowing God more. We promise to provide an atmosphere that is never demanding or harsh. Rather we are welcoming and open to everyone. We encourage all of our students to bring their friends to our programs so that they can connect to the story of God.
