EXPLORE Night

EXPLORE is our program night and occurs twice a month on Wednesday nights, 7:00 pm- 8:45 pm

Church often times can be intimidating.  Not at Matrix!  EXPLORE is a night were we all get together, hang out and learn about God and His word.  We do this with three different elements:

TEACHING

Each week we explore a different concept from the word of God through relevant and audience-interactive teaching in a large group setting.  Together, we seek to understand how God's truth can impact our lives.

SMALL GROUPS

Following the teaching, we split up into our small groups and talk about what it means for us to be a follower of Jesus and how that impacts our lives.  Small groups are arranged by gender, year in school, and are typically lead by two adult mentors as well as a high school mentor.

SABBATH

Simply put, Sabbath is time the students can be alone with God through guided prayer.  At Sabbath, you will guided through different stations which are there to help you connect with God one-on-one.  There is no one telling you how to pray, or what to do.  This time is between you and God.  There are elements that are there to help you think through a certain topic like jealousy, forgiveness, etc.  But mainly, we understand that your life is hectic, busy and full of interruptions, so Sabbath was created for you to be in a quiet space with God.  To slow down, forget the stuff that's weighing on your shoulders and just "be still and know that God is God." (Psalm 46:10).
