POWERSURGE/Mentor Nights
POWERSURGE meets approximately one Wednesday night a month, 7 - 8:45 pm
A Powersurge event is a large group outing where the students at Matrix get together and simply just hang out outside the typical church environment. This is so that those students with friends who are uncomfortable attending a church event can just hang out with us. Hopefully through a Powersurge experience, they'll want to see what Matrix is all about and attend an Explore night! But really, Powersurge is about us being a family and hanging out together. We do this by playing miniature golf, working at a homeless shelter, playing kick ball... the Powersurge possibilities are endless!
MENTOR GROUP NIGHT meets twice a month on Wednesday night, 7 - 8:45 pm
At Mentor Night, you will hang out with your mentor group fro the whole school year. What you guys do at Mentor Night is up to your group. Some groups go through a Bible study together. Other groups play paintball. It's really up to your group. The one thing that we ask is that as you meet throughout the year, you choose an organization to sponsor. Like adopting a child through Compassion International, or donating to the Tri program through Invisible Children. Or serve at Hesed House or Feed My Starving Children. The possibilities are endless.
The activities of Mentor Night may change from week to week, but your mentors will communicate with you and your parents to make sure you are up to speed with what your group is doing for the week.
