Retreats
To supplement our mission, Matrix staff lead students on special weekend events each year, such as outdoor adventure retreats, mission projects and our popular Winter Xtreme weekend at Camp Timber-lee. Registration flyers are distributed prior to these events with cost and sign up information. These weekend events are a must for any Matrixer, offering a spiritual mountain-top experience and a chance to deepen connections with other Matrixers and mentors. Ask any Matrixer, and they’ll tell you these weekends are the highlight of their Matrix experience.
Prior to each event, all registered participants receive a detailed “Event Packet” with all the material you need to prepare your Matrixer for a life-changing weekend, including a schedule, what to bring list, medical forms, contact numbers, recreation options, etc. This information (with links to the necessary forms) can also be found on this webpage as the event draws near.
2010 Matrix WinterXtreme
January 15-17, 2010
Camp Timberlee, East Troy, WI
Matrix once again heads to Camp Timber-lee this January for the annual WinterXtreme Junior High weekend. You’ll stay in heated cabins, and spend time listening to inspiring speakers and Christian music at Cross Timbers, along with 200 other middle schoolers from around the area. There’s time for tobogganing, karaoke, tubing, and of course the broomball championship (hockey on ice with brooms and tennis shoes). This is an awesome weekend that you do NOT want to miss out on. This event tends to sell-out quickly! Turn in your $50 non-refundable deposit by November 18th, along with the registration form. Remainder of balance is due January 6, 2010. The first 10 people to register will receive a free Matrix Lifeguard long sleeved t-shirt!
