First Communion Classes
Children of Rejoice 2nd grade and up are given the opportunity twice a year to join their parents on a journey to explore the meaning of Holy Communion in First Communion Classes. These sessions prepare them to share communion with fellow brothers and sisters of our church community every Sunday.
The students, along with their parents gather with our Director of Children's Ministry, Barb Loomis, for three Sundays after church for a deeper look into the meaning and history of Holy Communion, the Words of Institution, what it means to forgive and be forgiven, and the great gifts we receive when we participate in Holy Communion. 
Rejoice celebrates First Communion twice a year, once in the fall at our Thanksgiving Eve Service and then in the spring at our Maundy Thursday Service. For more details or if you have any questions, please click here to contact Barb Loomis.
